Editorial Policy

How products get onto FORMÉ, how guides are written, and where the line between editorial and commercial sits.

Updated October 28, 20261 min readformeu.co

In short

  • Products come from merchants whose affiliate programmes accepted us, selected by editors for quality, not by commission rate.
  • We publish merchants' own facts — price, materials, dimensions — with the date we confirmed them, and we never invent reviews.
  • Rooms in Shop the Look contain the products actually in the photograph.
  • Mistakes are corrected openly; tell us and we fix the page.

The summary helps you read; the sections below are what applies.

01Selection

A merchant appears on FORMÉ only after its programme has accepted us for at least one region. Within a merchant's catalogue, editors choose what to feature; feeds bring prices, stock and new items in automatically, and new items wait as drafts until an editor looks at them. Merchants cannot pay for placement, and commission rate is not a selection criterion.

02Facts and estimates

  • A price is shown with the date we last confirmed it against the merchant. Converted prices are marked “est.” with the rate's date.
  • Dimensions, materials and colours are the merchant's; our fit checks and comparisons compute only from those.
  • “Lowest in 90 days” and similar statements are made only from prices we recorded ourselves.
  • Rankings and “for your taste” use structured data and your own signals; no score is invented.

03Writing

Guides are written by the FORMÉ editorial team. Where software helped draft or translate text, an editor has reviewed it before publication. We do not accept sponsored articles. Images of real rooms are credited to their photographers or sources.

04Corrections

If a price, a fact or an attribution is wrong, email the contact address with the page link. We correct the page and, where the error was material, note the correction on it.
